PA Privacy Policy

Effective July 5, 2026.

PA is a phone extension for a user-configured personal assistant backend. The app uses phone capabilities only for app functionality, such as setup, notifications, location sharing, and commute timing.

Data PA sends

• Location: latitude, longitude, accuracy, timestamp, source, device id, and optional request id when you send location manually, allow a backend-triggered snapshot, or enable background location sharing.
• Device and setup data: generated device id, APNs push token, app version, setup label, capabilities, connection status, and credential status.
• Commute data: commute job status, route choices, selected strategy, and refresh actions for the configured Commute Assistant feature.

How data is used

Data is used to connect the phone to the configured PA backend, deliver notifications, answer explicit phone capability requests, and support commute timing. PA does not use advertising SDKs, does not sell personal data, and does not track users across apps or websites.

User controls

Location and notifications are controlled by native iOS permission prompts. Background location sharing can be paused in PA Settings or revoked in iOS Settings. The device credential is stored in Keychain, and setup prompts do not include that credential.
